Kevin Helmick, President
The Technical Control Consultants (TC2) team is lead by President and founder Kevin Helmick, a retired Marine Corps communicator with over 22 years of communications experience in planning, installation, operation and maintenance of communications systems around the world. Kevin participated in Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and countless exercises as a Technical Controller, Technical Control Chief and Systems Planning Engineer.
In addition he planned and installed the first Strategic Promina based network for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in Korea as well as commercial communication facilities in Africa and Iraq. He has directly influenced and helped develop many USMC communications programs of record such as Digital Technical Control (DTC), Joint Enhanced Core Communications System (JECCS), Transition Switch Module (TSM), AN/TSC-156C Phoenix Satellite Terminal, AN/USC-65 Lightweight Multiband Satellite Terminal (LMST) and many others.
Kevin’s training experience began as a Platoon Sergeant, Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor at Parris Island, South Carolina. He instructed at the Marine Corps Technical Control Course for a specialized class and also taught the Sustainment Training Package for DTC. Shortly before his retirement he proposed the Promina Management Level hierarchy adopted by the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff which was published in the CJCSM 6231.
